Microsoft on Monday described the service changes it plans to make when Windows 11 rolls out later this year.
A combination of old and new, updated support lifecycles and Windows 11 servicing mechanisms could best be referred to as “Windows 10+” to accommodate longer intervals and up to 33% longer support periods.
But with Windows 10 being supported through October 2025 and companies historically reluctant to ship operating systems, it will also matter how 10 and 11 (sorry, 10 and 10+) work side by side if they do.
For this reason, we have obtained the latest information from Microsoft on how to update and maintain the Windows 11 and Windows 10 operating systems. That’s how it will go as far as we now know.
